Last updated: 27 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Bricks and Blocks Creative (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit bricksblockscreative.com or sign up for our emails. We are based in the UK and follow the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Bricks and Blocks Creative is a website run by Skylark Virtual Services Ltd (company number 14010404), registered office 11 Purton Wood View, Telford, TF3 2NB, England. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

You can contact us about anything in this policy at angela@skylarkvirtualservices.com.

What we collect and why

Newsletter and free downloads. When you sign up for our free Plan-the-Build Sheet or our emails, we collect your first name, your email address and the edition you chose (Minecraft, LEGO or both). We use this to confirm your signup, send you the download and, if you stay subscribed, send you occasional emails about new guides and resources. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

Double opt-in. We use double opt-in. After you submit the form you will get an email asking you to confirm. We only add you to our mailing list once you have confirmed.

Contacting us and comments. If you email us or leave a comment, we collect your name, email address, the content of your message and, for comments, your IP address and browser details, which help us filter spam. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site and responding to you.

Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and how people find the site. It uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view. This only runs if you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner.

Advertising. We may show ads through Google AdSense or Google Ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. This only runs if you accept advertising cookies in our cookie banner. You can manage personalised ads at adssettings.google.com, and learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Security and spam protection. We use Google reCAPTCHA on our signup forms and Antispam Bee on comments to block bots and spam. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and how you interact with the form, which is sent to Google and is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site and our mailing list secure.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. We take part in the Amazon Associates Programme, so as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. This means we may earn a small commission if you click an Amazon link and buy something, at no extra cost to you. We may also join other affiliate programmes, such as game server hosting providers, and will say so when we do.

Our Amazon links go to the US Amazon store, which will usually redirect you to your own country’s store. When you click an affiliate link, Amazon or the other company sets its own cookies and collects information under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your personal information from these companies, only anonymous reports about clicks and sales.

Posts on this site carry a disclosure near the top that reminds you of this.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies, managed through the Complianz cookie banner. Necessary cookies are always on. Analytics and advertising cookies only run if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link on our cookie policy page. For the full list of cookies we use and how long they last, see our Cookie Policy.
